Hello, I'm Ângela Brito and thank you for supporting my brand. Originally from Cape Verde, I sailed the Atlantic to live in Brazil over 30 years ago, a symbol that the power of essence transcends borders. Building a pioneering path by being the first black woman to have a collection shown at SPFW, nominated for the Emerging Designer of the Year award at the American Latin Fashion Awards or participating in the Inspira Rio Award (a city I love so much), elected in 2021 as one of the 100 most influential personalities in the Lusophony, among others, my creations reflect the most intimate part of my Being: the curiosity for nomadic peoples and their needles, which I sew into my memories.

When I visit my precious Islands, I connect with the traditional Creole, emanating that no matter where I am, the rhythm of the loom and the handmade work will always accompany me. In this way, I keep my roots strong by giving voice to new constructions through clean and innovative design, unfolding constant dialogues with the New World. In this way, I manifest a vision where everyone can dance and move within their own Being through clothing and mind, understanding that our identities are flexible and complex as they float in an endless process.
